The alpine squill is a perennial plant that grows from a bulb and belongs to the Asparagaceae family. It has two or less three lanceolate, curved and shiny leaves. There are 6 to 10 flowers at the top of the plant, each flower consisting of 6 lanceolate purple petals. It is widespread in Europe, Turkey and Syria, and in the Galichica National Park can be seen on open sunny meadows by the roads.
